When you are a guest at Williamstown Christian Church there are a few things that you can expect.
Expect to be greeted with a smile.
Our trained greeters will welcome you at the front door and give you a bulletin for that morning's service. The bulletin will include the regular announcements as well as an outline for the sermon. If you are a guest then please fill out the information card inside and place it in the offering plate as it goes by.
Expect to sing songs of praise to God.
The Bible teaches that singing songs is effective for both praising God and educating ourselves as believers. We have a blended style of music that will easily relate to people of all ages and musical tastes. You can choose to sing or simply experience the song service, but either way if you have an open heart you will experience God's presence.
Expect a time of Communion.
Communion is a time for all believers to reflect on and remember the sacrifice Jesus Christ made for us by dying on the cross for our sins. We drink a small cup of juice that represents his blood that was shed and small cracker that represents his body that was broken.
Expect a time for members to give an offering.
When the offering plates are passed this is a time for the members of the church to give a portion of what God has blessed them with back to His church. If you are a guest we don't want you to feel obligated to contribute to our offering.
Expect to hear a Biblically based & relevant sermon.
Each week our Senior Minister prepares and delivers a sermon based on scripture. These sermons are designed to be relevant to how we live and operate in today's society.
Expect to be offered a time of invitation.
At the end of the sermon a time of invitation is always offered. This time allows anyone the opportunity to 1) become a Christian by repenting, confessing, and being baptized, 2) recommit their Christian life to God and His purposes, 3) or place their membership with our body of believers at Williamstown Christian.
