I have always loved this verse, and have always thought about how amazing it is that we get to share the truth of God’s love with those around us – how He has called us to do so. The thing I just recently noticed, however, was Jesus didn’t say he would put us on the lamp stand only if our light was burning bight and of the right color.
The truth of the matter is, the moment we accept him as our Lord and savior, we are already out there, for the whole world to see. Some of us know this truth to be more evident than maybe others, this is the reason why you may get so many statements like, “I thought you were supposed to be a Christian…”
See, we don’t get to decide when people see our light and when they don’t; its always out there for people to see. It should make us more aware that we are always on display.
What is the light you are displaying today? Are people seeing the light of Jesus burning bright in you? Or are you showing them something else? Today, decide to show the world Jesus.
